Like our Beene Bag Silk Striped Pants, this jacket sweater illustrates continuities across the Geoffrey Beene Ready-to-Wear Line and the Beene Bag diffusion line. The quintessentially “Beene” detail of this sweater is the diagonally corded trim, which runs counter to the vertical weave of the sweater’s knit. It is also a departure from the RTW line, style-wise, in being slightly bohemian. The Beene team chose this sweater to represent the Beene Bag line in their 1983 Spring Advance.
