Levi's vintage 501 (medium wash)

The usual rule of thumb for vintage Levi's is: your correct Levi's size = 2 + your usual contemporary size (or waist measurement). For instance, if you're usually a 28, you would look for Levi's size 30. By following this rule of thumb, you'll end up with jeans that are fitted; for a looser fit, add 3 or 4 (or even 5!) to your contemporary size to find the correct Levi's size. We've gone by this rule of thumb, which produces a fitted look. For a looser fit, size up by one or two.

Levi's vintage sizes have two numbers: the waist measurement x the inseam. 

Most of our Levi's are from the 1990s, with an occasional pair from the 1980s. 

501s marked as "women's" run slightly larger in the hip.
