We aren't 100% sure whether this jacket and pants were originally part of an ensemble. Some signs point to yes. They came from the same seller, and the gabardine from which they are made appears identical. There are some small differences. Slightly different trims appear on the jacket's pocket and the pants' racing stripe; the former is more clearly woven, the latter more uniform. We have chosen to unify them; both are a nod to Saint Laurent's signature women's tuxedo, the "Le Smoking," and the invocation is clearer when the two pieces are unified. Further, we are loathe to disunify a set, and the fact that they might have been purchased together is enough for us to keep them that way.
