We continually source and sell Yves Saint Laurent trousers. We feel they are, in some way, the ur-trouser, from the perfect spacing of the pleats that heightens the feel of total symmetry, to the asymmetry created by the off-center button closure at the waistband. Across decades, the house of Yves Saint Laurent reproduced these elements while riffing on the leg width, pleat volume, and textile. This pair likely comes from the late nineties and/or early 2000s; the soft drape of the heavy silk shantung is a counterweight to the structured tailoring.
